ACF’s Acting Assistant Secretary Daniel Schneider at a Picturing America announcement in Dallas, April 16.

ACF’s Office of Head Start administers a national program to enhance school readiness for preschoolers through education, social services and by promoting overall health. In April, ACF, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities, announced Picturing America. The initiative teaches American history and culture and will bring some of the nation’s greatest works of art to the 20,000 Head Start programs across the nation.
